Robert D. Stinson

Savannah, GA - Robert D. Stinson, age 80, died Friday, February 9, 2007, at his home on Skidaway Island. A native of Warren, Ohio, Mr. Stinson graduated from Strayer College in Washington, DC and spent most of his life in the Washington area working as a CPA and Real Estate Developer. He retired as President and CEO of The Donohoe Companies in 1988.
In 1982, Mr. Stinson and his wife moved to Savannah settling at The Landings on Skidaway Island. He was a member of the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church and The Landings Club.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn J. Stinson of Savannah; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Martha Stinson of Bethesda, MD; two granddaughters, Rachel Stinson of New York City and Rebecca Stinson of Salisbury, MD; and three sisters, Roberta, Bea and Margaret.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Maples and his staff at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL for the years of wonderful care he received as a patient there.
